Prabowo: I am sure you can improve the condition of the country with a short time

Kolom Aktual. Presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto believes he and the vice-presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno can improve Indonesia's condition in a short time.

That conviction was one of the reasons Prabowo was willing to re-run as presidential candidate in the upcoming 2019 presidential election.

He expressed this when addressing the Gerindra National Party Conference at Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), West Java, Monday (12/17/2018) yesterday.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, if I am with my team, if we are not sure that we can improve the condition of this country quickly, we will not progress as presidential candidates," Prabowo said as quoted from the GerindraTV Youtube account on Tuesday (12/18/2018) .

"I am ready to go forward because I am sure we can improve the state of the country in a short time," he said.

Prabowo assessed that currently the Indonesian people are in a difficult situation. Because the ruling elites have brought the country in the wrong direction.

He did not agree with the assumption that Indonesia was in good condition, especially related to the economic sector.

"So our brothers and sisters accept the mandate because the country is in a difficult situation, in the wrong direction," Prabowo said.

On that occasion, Prabowo also explained his analysis data regarding per capita income.

According to him, Indonesia's per capita income is only 1,300 US dollars. Not much different compared to Rwanda, Afghanistan, Chad, Ethiopia and Burkina Faso.

"Yes, these are our friends, in our group. After 73 years of independence we are at their level. Haiti is also chaotic," said Prabowo.

"These brothers and sisters who have never been recognized by our elite, therefore there is no other way, we must win the 2019 election," he said.

The Gerindra Party National Conference was attended by thousands of Gerindra Party cadres and volunteer supporters of the vice presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno.

Also present were the secretary general and senior officials of the Indonesian Adil and Prosperous coalition, including PKS Secretary General Mustafa Kamal, Working Party Secretary General Priyo Budi Santoso, Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani, PAN Honorary Chairman Amien Rais and Democratic Deputy General Chairman Syarief Hasan.
