Ahead of Christmas and New Year Holidays, Buses and Drivers in Bogor Applied by Officials

The Bogor City Police Department Satlantas with the Bogor City Transportation Agency conducted tests on dozens of inter-provincial inter-city buses (AKAP) and drivers at Baranangsiang Terminal, Bogor City, West Java. This is done to ensure the readiness of transport vehicles to face the long holiday season for Christmas and New Year 2019.
"This is checking the facilities and infrastructure as well as road transportation to find out the readiness and feasibility of facing the Operation Lilin 2018 and the long holiday," said the Bogor Kapolresta City of Combat Commissioner, Sampurna Jaya, on Thursday (12/20/2018).
Monitoring on site, officers from the police and the Bogor City Transportation Agency checked one by one the physical bus vehicles that operate every day at the Branangsiang Bogor terminal. Things to check include braking systems, lights, tire conditions to complete the driving documents.
So far, officers have not found a violation and the bus being inspected is still declared roadworthy.
"Physical checking of vehicles is done to minimize accidents that occur due to technical problems. So far, the condition of the buses in Baranangsiang Terminal is still good and roadworthy. If later there are findings, we will act banned from operating," he explained.
In addition to examining the physical bus, officers from the Bogor City Police Hospital conducted health and urine tests on the drivers and bus crew operating at the Branangsiang terminal. This is done for the safety of passengers and avoiding accidents caused by human error.
"This is done so that there is no juice driver who carries his vehicle under the influence of drugs or liquor. But so far it is still safe, we have not found a driver who regards the effects of drugs," Ulung said.
"We hope that by checking this, the driver will continue to update the system both the vehicle and the driver himself, so that the community feels safe using bus services," he continued.
