Earthquake of 3.7 SR magnitude occurred in Keerom Papua

Liputan Digital. An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.7 occurred in Keerom Regency, Papua. This earthquake was felt in Jayapura.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) informed that the earthquake occurred today, Wednesday (12/19/2018), at 03.38 WIB. There was no tsunami warning due to this earthquake.

The epicenter was on land in the direction of 21 kilometers northwest of Keerom. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The quake was felt on the Mercalli (MMI) II scale in Jayapura, which meant that an earthquake was felt by several people in the house.

There have been no further reports about the impact of this earthquake.
